Jett's new obsession is Spiderman, but as he likes to call him "blue bat." The only shirt he will wear is a spiderman tank top (as seen in pic). I have tried buying him other spiderman shirts and he will not wear them. I try changing his clothes while he sleeps and he instantly wakes up and throws a fit. I have learned to just put a hoodie or jacket on him so he will stay warm. So if you see Jett wearing the same shirt everyday, I promise I am not neglecting him and I do wash it as much as I can.

Christmas Time

I finally figured out how to log into my blog. I dont know why they are always changing things!
Anyway, we are all ready for Christmas at our house. Jett is so excited. He loved decorating the tree with the Disney ordaments Jared's mom let us use. Jett also knows that Santa says "HO, HO, HO". I didn't teach him that so I am curious how he figured it out.
I decided that I wasnt going to spend alot on our presents this year but Jared had other plans. He has been working almost everday since the middle of October (even Thanksgiving) so I gave in and let him buy a gun. Luckily he decided on a 22 instead of the $1,000 one he really wants.

Ready for Halloween

We have been getting ready for Halloween early this year. Jett has been obsessed with "the scary man" in our downstairs. Jared's mom has a pirate skeleton that sings and dances and all the grandkids call him the scary man.

Everyday Jett made me go downstairs just so he could see the scary man. I finally just brought him upstairs.

Jared got out the masks and Jett really seemed to like this one he has on in the picture. We also put out our spider lights and a few small decorations.

Jett has a fascination with motorcycles. Like father like son I guess. Last week Jared and K.C. (jared's bro) went for a Harley ride. Jett was quite upset he couldn't go, but luckily KC took his dads bike and left his sportster for Jett to work on.

Carpet Cleaning Fun

The other day i decided to clean the living room carpet. Jett is such a hard worker he decided he needed to help. He got his own carpet cleaner (the ball popper thingy). He did so good he even cleaned the chair. (see pic below). Anyway I got everything done and even washed the walls and furniture.

I was relaxing in a different room later that night and decided to go check on Jett. I walked into a room filled with baby powder everywhere! Jett thought he was sprinkling on the stuff you use when you vacuum to make it smell fresh! I quickly grabbed the vacumm to suck it up but it was no use. The carpet was still wet and the baby powder was stuck in it! Finally the carpet dried and I got most of the powder out. I couldn't even be mad at Jett cuz he was such a good helper.

Don't read this if you don't want to hear me mumbling.

Here it goes.....So why do people always ask "when are you going to have a baby" How do you know that maybe I have been trying for years and can't get pregnant? AHhh. (not my case but some people have that problem) Also when you already have a baby and they ask "when are you going to have another one". That is kinda annoying, but not as bad as when they say " "Are you trying?" Hello people...that is like asking me when and how much sex I am having. If you really want to know I guess I can tell you, but I think it is NONE of your business.
I do not mind when someone asks "how many kids to you plan on having" THat is the nice polite way to get the info you are seeking without offending a women!
I might be over sensitive about this subject but it gets really old when it seems EVERYONE is asking.

We had so much fun on Halloween. We had a spag. dinner with some of Jared's family. Then we took Jett and Andie's two girls Trick-or-Treating. Jett loved it except he got mad when there was no one home to give him candy, but he would hurry to the next house! I didn't think he would get so into it. Next year will be even worse I'm sure.

My grandpa Ashworth died on Oct 14th, 2009. I usually don't like to take pics at funerals, but I decided it was ok to take some of the flowers. Im glad to have known him as long as I did and I look forward to seeing him again.

We recently added someone new to our family. His name is Brutus. After alot (and i mean ALOT) of debate about his name we finally decided on one. First it was Arthor..i said no way. Then it was little john...jared said no. Then Jared's bro KC wanted Kimbo (after Kimbo Slice). Then we decided on Bubba, but the dog said no way! So now it is Brutus (or Brute for short). I still think we should have named him Benjamin Franklin cuz his dads name is George Washington and his mom's name is Thnk's Independence. Also his blood line is Red, White and Bully. He really does need a good Patriotic name. I guess Brutus will have to do though.

He is an Olde English Bulldogge. Yeah, that is how it is spelled. I promise! He is not very photogenic, so if you think he is ugly it is just the picture. He is acutally quite handsome.

OMG! The best grape salad EVER! I crave it all the time now! I took it to a family party and it was all gone in mins! This is a pic i stole from an online recipe. Mine looked much better of course!

8 oz cream cheese

8 oz sour cream

1tsp vanilla

1/2 cup white sugar

First mix cream chesse and white sugar. Then add vanilla and sourcream.

2 lbs green grapes

2 lbs red grapes

wash and dry completly then place in salad bowl.

Add cream cheese mixture to grapes. Then sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar on top with chopped pecans (toasted ones if you want). Chill at least one hour before serving.

I dont know what to dress jett up as for halloween. I want to have his costume early so we can go get pics and have them back in time before halloween. My mother has a very cute lion costume she bought at cabela, or we have a frog costume, or a blue care bear one. Jared has already put a stop on the care bear, so that one is out. I could buy one for jett but they are sorta expensive for the really cute ones.
He loves animals so i think the lion one would be the best. what should I do??? I know this post is boring but it is on my mind.

Facebook Drama!

Lately I have been a little bit disturbed. I have a friend on facebook that is not afraid to speak her mind. Lets call her Sally. A few days ago she was saying how people are bad parents for letting their kids who are under age 13 get a Facebook account. So she called them liars for letting the kids lie about their age. She upset quite a few people, and most of them were her family members.
Today she was saying how she hates her church ward for being so cheap and not supplying plates and utinsils at the ward party. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't kill her to buy a 5 cent fork and maybe a 10 cent plate! Any ward I have ever been in has always had everyone bring their own plates and utinsils! Also I was surprised she would publically discriminate against the church. Especially over something so small! I don't think that people really think of the effects of their words on there.
I shouldn't be judging her, but its really hard not to! I am no better than her if I go around saying bad things about her. I just wanted to know what everyone else would think about this situation.

So we had to put our dog, Chunk to sleep yesterday. We got a phone call saying that he had bitten a little boy on the back of the leg. He has never done that before. I wish we would have checked out what happened a little more. Now I think we made the wrong decision. We will miss Chunk alot. This whole thing just really sucks. NO more dogs for me.

Can I help it if I have one of the cutest kids there ever once was? NO! I admitt it, He is so freaking cute. The other day a complete stranger stopped me in the grocery store and said "oh my goodness, he is such a cute child!" then Jett cheesed it at her and she then said "Oh he is even cuter when he smiles! my you are in trouble! of course I said thank you!

Then tonight at oak city days another complete stranger told me how cute he was and made me go show him to her daughter.

Jett loves all this attention. He is such a flirt and show off for the ladies.

I have decided I need a t-shirt that says "dont waste your breath, I know my kid is so Freakin' Cute!" or something to that affect (effect?).

Anyway, I know every parent thinks there kid is cute , but im pretty sure I have one that is model material! Oh and i have to mention he is also a good dancer. He already knows the sprinkler and he taught it to himself...no lessons at all!

The Real Grey's Anatomy!

So last weekend Jared took his Harley for a ride to Ely with some friends. He came back Saturday and was as red as a lobster and not feeling too chiper. He complained of nausea and was really hot. He took a nap, but wasn't doing much better when he woke up. His hands and feet were ice cold, and he stopped sweating. So I got to drive him down to the ER at the Delta hospital.
Jett came with us and was really excited to see the new and interesting place. Construction was going on so we got to go through a maze of nails, boards, and plastic walls. We finally made it into the ER.
After checking Jared in:
Dr. Jackson was talking to Jared about his heat exhaustion and Jett let out this really big yell. He was very upset that the doctor was not paying attention to him! He got a sticker, goldfish crackers, and a sucker. I wish when I yelled at the doctor I got such good stuff!
Anywho, Jared got pumped full of 3 bags of iv fluids and got lots of drugs to make him feel better. They also had to do blood tests and a chest x-ray. His temp got up to 103.5!!! He ended up being fine but it kinda scared me cuz it took forever for his temp to drop back to normal.

We finally got to go home at midnight. I am really glad that everything was ok. Jared got the next day off work! He is not allowed to go on motorcycle trips anymore.....well not when it is 105 degrees outside!

So, lately I have been feeling kinda homesick....for Hawaii. Im pretty sure I accidentally was placed in Utah. What was the stork thinking? He must have bumped his head, and made a wrong turn. Anyway, I am already planning my next trip out there. Hopefully this time we get to stay longer. We will have more time at the beach since we dont have to do all the touristy things. Be there done that! I am overly super excited and can't wait to go again. This time I am going to try and overcome my fear of snorkeling. I parasailed just fine, but can't even stick my head in 3 feet of water. Doesn't make any sense! I found some really cool spiderman snorkel gear at the dollar general and I think I might just go pick it up! wish me luck.

Tonight I couldn't sleep, so I decided to stay up and watch tv. The Jon & Kate plus 8 special that aired a week ago was on, so I watched it. Last week I decided not to watch it cuz I knew I would hear all about what they decided to do. As I watched I couldn't help but feel depressed. I know marriage is hard and everyone has their differences. I got the impression that the two weren't really communicating very well and thought it would be much easier to just get divorced than to work at getting along. I dont know what happened behind closed doors, so I shouldn't judge, but it is hard not too.
This is the classic example of what money does to people. It makes me realize that money does not always solve problems, and It usually causes more! I hope that the jon and also kate will find happiness in the future. I just wish they would have been able to work things out, especially because of the kids. Also I think this helps everyone take a look at their own
marriage and know what is really important in life!
I come from a family where my parents divorced when I was 16. I swore I would never do that to a child. Now after being married I can totally see why people do end up getting divorced.
I remember a saying my aunt had posted on her fridge "The greatest gift you can give your children is parents who love each other!" I totally agree with that! So When times are tough just remember why you got married in the first place and dont give up!

It has been a long time since I wrote something on here!!!! Alot has happened in the last few months. Jett started walking on March 28th ( thanks to his uncle kc). I knew he wanted to do it, but just needed someone to make him do it!

We got a new four wheeler! Jett loves it. He cries when I take him off! We have to go for a ride everyday to get the mail. Which isn't helping my exercise, since i used to walk to get the mail.

This week we are going to Hawaii to visit Jareds parents. Jared wants to go parasailing, so i guess I am going too. Hopefully it is fun!!!! I am a little worried about the plane ride with Jett (that sounds weird) anyway i decided i am not above drugging my kid so i bought some triamenic cold medicine that makes kids drowsy. We will see how well it works.

In august me, jared, my sister nelly and bro tyler, and lots of our friends are going to the Nickelback/Hinder/papa roach/saving abel concert at USANA. I am super excited!!!! I hope it doesn't rain.

We finally sold our house!!!!

Today I gave the keys to the couple that bought our house in Delta. I am so glad to be out of that house and even happier to be out of that neighborhood. Oak City is nice and quiet and we don't have to worry about living by snobby people anymore. I can walk out my back door and not have to worry about everyone being able to see me. We do have to deal with the occasional phone call from the neighbor guy asking for eggs, but that is not a big deal! Jared is also really happy about the move too.

Wow, its been over a month since I have had a new post. I have been interested in Facebook. It sucks you in, even when you are against it! It is nice to talk to old friends though.

Anywho, this week I have been busy getting ready for a baby shower that is for my sister-in-law Bing, and Jared's cousin Sheryl. I hope everything turns out ok. We have already had a little family drama over it, but I am trying not to think about that.

We have finally put our house up for sale. I'm really excited that we are not going to have to worry about it anymore. Andie's Amazing Crab Salad

2-3 cups cooked sticky rice (cooled)
3 avocadoes cut up into pieces
2 cucumbers cut up (english ones are better)
1 cup raw carrots grated
1 bunch romaine lettuce cut up
1 green pepper diced
dry seaweed (just a little spinkled in)
1 package imitation crab meat cut up
Mix all together in bowl

Sauce
Wasabi, soy sauce, Rice Vinegar
not sure of the amounts yet

Dont add sauce in salad. Just put a little on top when dished up on your plate! Also it is good without green peppers and seaweed.

This year we decided to stay in Oak City for Christmas cuz Jared's brother and wife didn't have anywhere else to go. On Chrtistmas Day his sisters Andie, Tracie, and Mandie came with their families. We ate a turkey dinner complete with mashed potatoes, rolls, green bean casserole, and Andie's amazing sushi salad.

Jett got lots of toys. His cousin Brandie would be glad, since she thought Jett was a poor baby who didn't have any toys.

Jared bought us pjs. I got the game Deal orNo deal, Mariah Carey perfume, and Grey's Anatomy.

We are glad we have Family to spend the Holidays with!

~The Truth about Being a Mom~

I always thought that being a mom couldn't be as hard as my mom made it out to be. Now after having little Jett Lee, I know my mom was wrong. It is ten times harder than she made it seem. Now I know why she used to lock herself in the bathroom and tell us to go away.

I have never been more tired and worn out in my life (and i thought high school and college was hard). I'm not sure how mom's do it. Especially with twins or siblings that are born close together. I hate it when people ask me when I am going to have another child. Don't they realize how hard it is? Then there is the pregnancy. Nine months of throwing up and feeling like crap. Im in no hurry to do it again.

Even though this is a super tough job, it was really worth it. Jett is the second love of my life (after jared of course). I have grown to love him more than I thought I ever could. He makes our home crazy, but filled with love. This blog entry would be longer, but he is screaming for attention right now. Good thing he is cute!

Christmas Time!

It's Christmas time again! Seven more days! This year is different bcuz of Jett. he has already figured out the present opening thing.
Then part of Jared's Family being in Hawaii. Today it snowed alot in Oak City. The pine trees are really pretty with all the snow on them. I wanted to shovel the driveway, but I couldn't find the snow shovel. I used a big push broom instead. It actually worked really well.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to my Dad's house. Ashley and Bryan showed up....unexpectedly. The next day we went to my mom's house. Jaycee got baptized. It was the longest baptizm in history. Thank goodness she finally did it.

Last Weekend

This last weekend I went up to Orem/Provo with my brother Tyler and Sister Shanell. I dragged Jett along with me. We went clothes shopping and then went out to eat at Cafe Rio. Jett really liked the tortilla chips but I was worried he would choke on them. I let him eat the Key Lime pie instead. He liked that alot better anyway. Go Figure, he loves the sweet stuff!

I also had Jett dress up as Santa and we went to Sears and got pictures taken. Jared doesn't know yet, because I knew he would be against it. When he sees the pictures he will be happy cuz they turned out way cute!

Living in Oak City

We are now in living in Oak City at Jared's parents house while they are in Hawaii. I still go to the delta house everyday, because so much stuff needs to be done before we sell it. My mom and Jaycee (my sister) came on Saturday to help. We tore off wallpaper in the downstairs bedroom. I now really, really hate wallpaper. It is not very fun to get off the walls.

I am glad to be in Oak City. It is fun to have chickens and especially to have a hot tub to get into at the end of the day. Jett loves the hot tub the most. Chunk (the dog) is still getting used to the fact of having two cats around and not being able to chase them. He sure enjoys eating their food though (which gets him into lot of trouble with Jared).

Moving to Oak City

We are offcially moving to Oak City this week. Karlie, Colton, Brandy, and KC will be flying out to Hawaii on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to getting away from our current neighborhood. Moving is a pain, but it will be worth it when we are done. Jett and Chunk will probably have a hard time adjusting.

Anyway jetters was a tigger with a tail and jared was a man with a belly, harty har har. I was dressed as jared, so heavier there say set with a goat tee and t r trucker hat. Obviously i wasn't hooked on phoneics. woah woah here comes bob the milker truck,. buy buy.
